LOBSTER 
This mushroom looks and eats like a lobster, with a dense but tender texture. Lobster mushroom season starts in late summer and ends in late autumn in the woods in the lower mountain areas. The whole mushroom, including stem and cap, is dark red. Or sometimes it can be orange-ish. Sizes range from 2 to 6 inches. Lobster mushroom cooks well with all kinds of food, yet it is rarely eaten raw.
